Added
- Full controller support. Play the whole game with a gamepad, from the match loop through every menu, with an on-screen keyboard for creating and renaming profiles and input hints that switch to controller glyphs on a pad.
- Every match now opens with a Challenger Reveal. Your rival is introduced with a paced write-out and a preview of the match ahead.
- The Coach and your rivals are now voiced. The Coach talks you through the opening tutorial and first run, rivals speak a greeting at the challenger reveal, and a new Voice volume slider balances it all.
Improved
- Expert rivals play a sharper endgame with smarter crib discards and real pegging strength, and they now read the board marks the way you do.
- Rivals now buy and play consumables against you, the same ones you can use.
- Online match results are now durable. They survive app restarts and outages, retry on their own, and confirm when they land, so a dropped connection no longer loses your ranked result.
- Reworked the pegging turn cues. The distracting ghost card is gone, your hand catches candlelight on your turn, the center warms, and a soft YOUR PLAY stamp appears only if you sit too long.
- Campaign Infinite matches are now best of seven.
- The vs-AI rival now shops the early line too, matching every other seat.
- The rival portrait stands clear in match views now, with no dimming scrim washed over it.
- The deck sits at the cut slot now, showing a live tell on its top card.
- Resuming a saved match skips the pre-match introduction.
Fixed
- When your online session expires the game quietly signs back in instead of stalling on dead requests.
- The shop intro from the Coach now plays only on the first board of your first climb, not on repeat.
- A shuffle sheet now covers the brief gap between the two pre-match pack pickers.
- Fixed the resign screen where the brass Long Tally dots bled over the card.
