Lap Gold and House Scores
Added
- Weekly challenges and practice runs now pay 10 gold each time your peg finishes a lap. Your peg stops at the gate, the gold flies to your purse, and the lap shop opens with something to spend. Because this changes scores, this version plays on a fresh weekly board, so scores posted on an older version are not on it, and a weekly or practice run left unfinished on an older version starts over.
- Each weekly board now shows five house scores from the parlor regulars, each one a real game played on that week's deals. Beat them to earn up to five stars, shown on the challenges page and online hub, your standings row and the end-of-match summary. The card before a weekly run lists all five scores, and the house gives up its seats as more players join the board.
Improved
- Screens arrive instead of cutting in. The profiles, campaign, challenges and online pages ease in as the cover lifts, the match table settles into place as a match opens, card windows fade their dark backdrop in and out, the page behind a window steps back, and the shop opens and closes more gently.
- The dark cover between screens no longer flashes a moving row of pegs, and it lifts faster between menu pages. Heading to a vs. AI or online table, or replaying the warm-up from How to Play, riffles the deck. Main menu rows sink in when you press them, and a profile card lifts when you resume it.
- The table characters each stand on a small soft dot in your color or the rival's color on the board you are playing. The dots fade once the scene is underway, and the glow behind the characters is gone.
- A clip of two powerups together, both yours or yours against the rival's, now plays once a match. Before, the common matchups could replay the same clip most hands.
Fixed
- When an unfinished challenge run is thrown away because its week ended or the game updated, a short notice now says so instead of the run quietly disappearing.
- Without a profile, the challenge record now explains that runs are not listed there or saved to pick up later, and how to start a profile. It used to promise they would land there.
- When a weekly score does not beat your best, the posted banner now names the best that stands instead of this run's score.
- A finished weekly run is no longer lost if the game crashes in the moment between the end of the match and posting the score.
- The pegs and hands columns of the weekly standings now show in your language.
- The lap gate's flash and sound now land when the peg reaches the gate, not as it lifts off, and a peg hopping across a bend or the gate keeps its lift and shadow.
