Improved
- Almost every card that opens over a page or over the table now opens the same way. It grows out of what you pressed, dims the screen behind it in one of two shades, darker over a menu and lighter over the live board, and shrinks back when you close it. A controller can no longer wander off an open card onto the page behind it.
- Every detail card you get by pointing at something now looks and behaves the same, the board's tile tips included. They appear at once, most also appear when a controller or the keyboard moves onto the thing, and they open beside what they describe rather than over it when there is room. The shop's level up tiles have one now, and the Trophy Hall rows and the CUTS row on a summary show theirs on a controller too.
- Picking one card from several now looks the same everywhere. The card you picked wears a ring and a check mark and lifts a little, the card a controller is on wears a light outline, and every card squashes when you press it. That covers the pack picks, level ups, the powerup swap, the peg draft and loadout, the cut picks and the Compendium, where the picked card stays level so a controller moves cleanly through the grid.
- Esc, or B on a controller, now does what the Back or Close button does on nearly every page and card, with the same sound. Cards that wait for your answer, like a board prize, still wait. Back on the weekly Challenges page returns to where you came in, the online hub or the main menu. On the main menu, Esc returns to the title screen.
- Every stamp now looks the same, tilted at one of two angles, and the ones that drop in all land the same way. MUGGINS sits on a solid plate and is easier to read on the pale boards, the POSTED stamp on a weekly challenge presses onto the week's picture instead of crowding its title, and YOUR PLAY sits above the sort buttons instead of over them when there is room.
- Back on the campaign hub, every number that changed counts up and gives a small press as it lands, and the ones that did not change stay still. A rank that moves on the weekly standings or a summary presses as it lands too. With Reduce motion on, the end-of-match summaries now count their totals up in place, as the count panels during a hand already did, and Continue waits for the count.
- The weather on the boards, the parlor's embers and the snow, sand, fireflies and mountain dust, now drifts behind the board and the cards instead of over them, moves slower and smoother, and stirs a little when you score a big hand or a game nears its end.
- Sounds that used to be one sound for two things, such as the rival's purchase and your card lift, a 31 and the cut card turning, or the Avalanche and the river rising, now each have their own pitch or level, so you can tell them apart by ear.
- Coming back to the main menu now plays the same short entrance as the other pages, and the campaign hub and the profiles page step back behind an open card as the other pages do. A resumed campaign or weekly challenge match now goes in under the SHUFFLING screen with the deck riffle, since it opens straight on your saved hand. The end credits now play without the hub music under them.
- Nearly every list with nothing in it now keeps its heading and says so in one sentence, a list still loading says Loading, and a list that could not load says why in the same words everywhere. THE RECORD on the hub keeps its heading when it is empty, and every Steam sign-in problem reads the same.
Fixed
- On the online hub, Esc with How to Play, the release notes or the resume card open left for the main menu with the card still up. It now closes the card and you stay on the hub.
- With Steam not running, Browse Open Matches said there were no open matches. It now says there is a Steam sign-in problem.
- The name stamp on a 28 or 29 hand froze in the air for a moment before it landed. It now drops onto the cards, and its sound and pause come as it touches down.
- In the Beyond, turning Reduce motion on or Table animations off during a match left the heat meter frozen mid-breath with embers still rising. It now settles. The heat meter's detail card also showed in plain grey and now takes the board's colors.
- With Table characters off, Skip and Skat's double skunk film still played. It now stands down with the other characters.
- The shop purse kept ticking its gold under Reduce motion, and the score margin in a duplicate match kept pressing with Table animations off. Both now hold still.
- A faint dark line ran down near the left and right edges of most boards. It is gone.
- The rival card that opens from Next Up on the campaign hub covered the strip it came from. It now opens beside the strip, or under it when there is no room beside it, and its Opens with and Favors rows and its region name are translated.
- In German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, more English is gone. The glossary words on detail cards, the connection dot's detail, the Ranked descriptions when you create a match, the Trophy Hall's Earned and Lost, No ranked matches yet and both hub titles are translated now, and the French online hub no longer reads LE TABLE OUVERTE.
